Love doesn’t go through the stomach
A person in love isn’t hungry. Just the opposite: when you’ve got butterflies dancing in your stomach, there’s no room for food.
Eating and love are two entirely different things. And a person suffering from a broken heart often craves sweets.
No child needs sweets as a proof of love, or should be told that he or she can’t eat sweets for health reasons. It’s fine to give your child a bit of sugar as part of a balanced diet—without feeling guilty about it.
Bring your children with you when you grocery shop; let them in the kitchen while you cook. Where does food come from? How is it cooked? Children are naturally curious. Take advantage of this!
